Foxconn have recently settled an issue that caused as mass strike with workers threatening to commit suicide. Employees at the Wuhan Factory in China threatened to kill themselves over a wage and working conditions dispute.

Foxconn who manufacture parts for both Microsoft, Apple and more, said it had “reached a deal” with the employees who walked out and many will be returning to back to work, although the NYT reports 45 of the workers involved have resigned.

The major Xbox manufacturing plant became the centre of the dispute earlier this month when a request for pay increases were denied. This caused the staff to threaten to stage a mass suicide (by jumping of the roof of the factory).

It is reported that Microsoft has taken the threats very seriously and has launched its own internal investigation, the results of the investigation are pending but it is reported that Foxconn and the staff have reached a deal.
