“I was late for class this morning!” a classmate complained to me, “the alarm of my smart phone doesn’t work when on power-off mode.” she added vexed.

Why would she turn her smart phone off when sleeping? You may wonder. Why can’t she just shut the screen?

Well, the answer is that many people, including this classmate of mine, still have concerns of the radiation of mobile phones. They prefer to either turn off these gadgets when sleeping or putting away from bedrooms. This kind of  concern is especially common in some Asian countries such as China, where the parents may tell their children not to put mobile phone close to body, not to talk over mobile phone for too long, and not to put mobile phone near the bed when sleeping.
